Flash Player And Vista Problems

I've just bought a new computer which came with Vista PremiumOS. Problem I'm having is everytime I require flash player to loadon a website, it asks for a later version. Obviously I have madeseveral atttemps to download Flash Player 9 but without success!I've unistalled it and retried but without success! The downloadprocess proceeds without a problem but I do notice in the adobewindow it says 'do you want to download plash player', not flashplayer 9! Anyway I've reseached adobe support notes but still I'vehad no success. Some websites promt me and ask do I have javascript turn on or upgrade to a later veersion.
