Pros:A solid very basic board to keep an older AM2 processor running for your lighter work loads and some casual gaming.Windows 7 64bit Ultimate works with this board.Cons:Could use more recent BIOS and Driver updates. Or at the very least more recent Driver updates.The PCI Express x1 slot easily gets covered up by discrete graphics cards.One of the co-processors don't get properly detected w/ available drivers under Vista or Windows 7.
This hasn't caused any noticeable performance hit though.Overall Review:Did not by this board from NewEgg instead found at the time of purchase a few years back on sale at a local store.Again: basic board. Pros:Low cost.Cons:Sound card does not work at all with my Windows XP. ECS teck support was fast but useless. They gave me a quote from their mobo booklet on how to install drivers. SATA HD was recognized by BIOS but Windows does not see it.
Teck support was fast again and just the same useless. They refer me to HD manufacturer. By the way, in the mobo booklet there is nothing, absolutely nothing said about SATA HD.

Meanwhile, BIOS window asks a lot of question about SATA HD configuration, like “Spanning, stripping or mirroring”?, “Array”?, description of F-keys functions is not clear, etc.Overall Review:I am going to install Vista, may be, it will fix the problems. Pros:It works! Used to replace a blown up motherboard on a older Compaq - used Athlon 64 X2 3800 MHz Winsor, A-Data 2x1GB DDR2 800 ram plus new power supply (Antec 400W). Used original IDE harddrive and existing Windows XP installation. Plugged it together, crossed my fingers and turned it on.
Came up and ran great. Very fast and runs reasonable games quite nicely on builtin video.Cons:Front panel audio ports and software don't seem to cooperate but that could be me (I just left the audio disconnected). Wished it had a 2nd IDE port but that was my inexperience in picking a MB. No big deal except I have a CD ROM, a DVD RW and my harddrive so something had to go. Expect to add a SATA drive in future and hope I can transfer the existing Windows XP to other drive. Just another adventure!Overall Review:My intent was to repair an older computer which had a very nice mechanical setup and upgrade it for low level gaming and general purpose use. This upgrade does the job.
